Can Valley quail and gambel crossbreed?

I have 3 famele Valley quails, but only 2 male gambels. If I put them together will they mate. They are very similar.

I believe that they would. They are very similar and both are quail. I think it would be just the same as breeding different strains and breeds of chickens. I know for a fact that different types of pheasants do this, a Reeve and a ringneck will cross to make a ringneck-Reeve.

Yes they will interbreed, it is quite common to find half-breeds in the wild.
