can white and brown chickens live together?

    im new to chickens and we built the coop and everything. were all ready, we just need chickens. my dad wants white eggs, but i like brown chickens. so i was wondering if i could get 2 or 3 of each so far were planning on getting 5 chicks. id buy them all andraise them together. do you think they would fight, pick on each other, etc. and if so would you recomend white or brown chickens thanks so much love this site and i am very excited to get my little chicks![​IMG]

    Yes, you can put brown and white chickens together. However, you don't have to have a white chicken to get a white egg. Brown leghorns are beautiful birds who lay beautiful, large, white eggs.
