Is there anything about peacock eggs that makes them unsafe to eat? I may be looking into peacocks, and I would not hatch every egg they lay.

They are like any other egg and taste fantastic, people report they feel like Royalty when they dine on peafowl eggs.

They are indeed delicious. Very much like a turkey egg deep rich taste,[IMG].

Just made one this morning, and this was one I did a few years ago:

    Huge egg!

Over easy on a bagel with smoked salmon, avacado and capers.

You can eat peahen eggs. My family loves them. My family has created a rating scale for eggs using chicken eggs as the standard. You have the chicken egg, then peahen and turkey eggs are creamier than a chicken, but not too creamy. Then you have duck eggs which are really rich. Peahen eggs are much larger, don't need as much eggs to make a meal. My family got a lot of peahen eggs last year.

I have 4 mature peahens and figured thats a lot of chicks i cant manage at all so eating them sounds excellent but Im unsure how to go about collecting and cleaning.Once the peahens are laying do I need to separate the male from the females ? Do I just pick em as soon as I see one and wash clean and refrigerate right away until ready for cooking.
