I am going to the feed store tomorrow to pick up some chicks for my broody GLW. The haev a variety of breeds and I think the one that I am going to get is the brahmas. I don't have any of those so I figured I would get them. I think everyone knows how it goes buying "pullets" from feeds stores so I was wondering if brahmas were one of the breeds I could feather sex?

Brahmas are difficult to sex at a young age apart from the Dark Brahma in which the male and females feather up quite differently and this is noticeable at about 3-4 weeks. Otherwise, feather sexing is VERY difficult,

Oh, I agree about Brahmas......very big, docile and great mums. My hens are SO easy to manage and even the roos are easily handleable.
They take time to mature but make magnificent birds who can live for up to about 12 years,
