Can you feed chickens cherries with pits?

I am wondering if you can feed chickens cherries with pits or if the would get lodged in their crop?

My chickens fly up into the cherry tree and have a feast...I have some that have eaten cherries for two years and no problems yet.

I would think so. The $%@& mocking birds, robins and thrushes eat the cherries right off my cherry tree even while I am trying to cover it in bird netting. Yet I have never seen a cherry thieving song bird with a case of cherry pit hemorrhoids.
