can you guess the gender of my Muscovy???

He/she is a lavender pied cross and about 3-4 months old, some of the pics show my calls and a mallard drake for size comparison.

I am going to say female. Males have usually have a tail that curls up at the end. I think by 3-4 months a curl would have developed on the Muscovy if it was male.

It's a male. Muscovy don't get tail curls. But the size compared to the others he is huge. A female would be a little bit bigger than a mallard.

See I learn something new everyday. But I figured if I responded with a guess someone else would notice the thread and come along with the answer. He is a handsome Muscovy.

Muscovies dont get the curly Q. It looks a male to me, because of the size. But I am still not sure. Its hard to tell on Muscovies

Well, I'm pretty sure its a girl, my drake seems to be paying her lots of attention, and is bent on mounting her.

Hm, well they will do that just to show who is the boss. You may just have to wait. I didnt find out that my Muscovy was a boy till he started mounting, and before he did start, the other drakes would mount him to show who is boss

My females will mount each other too. So, that is not a reliable way to tell.

How much would you say that it weighs now?

It maybe weighs like 5lbs, she isn't really that big, my mallard drake is a month younger than her/him. She is stretching her neck out when the drake mounts her.
