I very recently acquired my first chickens. I have a total of four hens three of which I have no real idea what breeds they are. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Hi! [IMG]
It would help if you could post a larger picture next time, but I am guessing the one on the far right is a Buff Orpington.

If you can, try getting some individual pic's of the birds, that would help tremendously. [IMG]

Hello! I agree, individual pics will help us confirm their breed better! I'm guessing the bird on the far right is a Red Sex Link due to her yellow legs and large comb, but she might be a hatchery quality Buff Orpington. :)

My guess is a Brown hybrid(Right), and I would need a better picture of her on the left
Edit:I definitely think ancona I didn't see that she was black I thought she was brown

As I look at the bird in the middle more, I'm thinking it s a Mottled Orpington. Red earlobes, white legs, heavy build all point to Orp. :)
I thought it was an Ancona at first too, but Anconas should have white earlobes and that bird has red earlobes. :)

Thanks everyone! I'm gonna get some better pictures and put them in the thread tomorrow. (Today is very gray and rainy here)
