Ok, I'll try to attach pics--just got these babies this morning! 27, all alive and eating/drinking so far!
Looks like our "exotic"'is a Naked Neck (Saw them at our Fair--otherwise I would have thought his neck was pecked!)
--5 light, bright yellow fluffy ones
    --5 more tan solid color
--2 more tannish/yellow with chipmunk racing stripes
--3 big tannish ones with spots on their head
--4 tri-colored, Chipmunk looking ones--super cute! With a black mask by their eye
--several black ones with spots on head--think there might be two breeds? One has white under butt and chin and on tips of wings.

    I'll add pics.

They are from Murry McMurray, if that helps with IDs...

We are getting 16 from ChickenScratchPoultry tomorrow--Olive Eggers, Lavender Orpingtons, Welsummers, Ameracuana, and Black Copper Marans.

SO EXCITED! They are just adorable and eating and drinking like champs!!
    Proud mama... :)

My own guesses so far, based on the colors and breeds available at McMurry?

Dark chipmunk striped are either Welsummer or Easter Eggers?
    Bright yellow Leghorn?
    Tan chipmunk ones Ameracuana?
Black with white dot Barred Rocks?

Agh! Need help please...so curious with our first chickens ever!!

    Too cool! [IMG]

I'm not going to be much help here, but some of the light ones could also be white birds like White Rocks or maybe light Sussex. The chipmunk ones could be Speckled Sussex too. And I think the Golden Laced Wynadottes also start out like chipmunks!

But remember, I'm a rookie! [IMG]

You will have to wait until they get older to determine breeds. Many breeds have similar chick down. The chipmunk ones could be Wyandottes, Welsummers, speckled Sussex, dark Cornish or EEs for starters. The yellow ones could be Leghorns, white Rocks, Delawares, or white Orpingtons. The reds could be RIR, New Hampshire reds or red sex links. The black ones with dots are likely barred Rocks.

The chipmunk striped ones in photo 4 and 5 look like they could be twins with my Easter Eggers from Meyer Hatchery, so I am going to guess Easter Egger. They're so cute!

what a nice selection. I'm hatching New Hampshires and RIR hens w/ Barred Rock rooster. hope I get Sexlinks. I'm told they are easy to sex as the roosters have
a white dot on their heads.
So glad your chicks arrived safely.
