A few feed stores will carry chicks later in the year but the only
way to get chicks here in CT now is to order them, hatch them
    or find someone with chicks.

How many are you looking for and what breeds?

We are looking for 3 - 5. We have not decided on any particular breed.

I am trying to get the coop in place and get everything in order. I see that some people are getting their day olds next week and that is too soon for me.

Quote:You can get day olds any time (except the week before Easter) from
most of the hatcheries. I order from meyershatchery.com
They get here in 36 hours. We are in New Haven County, 15 minutes
    south of Waterbury.

We started with 5. [IMG] You'll get more.
