A friend of mine found this in her front yard this morning and we have no idea what it is. Can you help us identify it? No wild birds are having babies now, so it must be some sort of livestock type. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!

Pigeon. It looks too young to have left the nest, so it must have fell out. Plus, at that age it will still need to be hand fed. You may want to call a wildlife rehabilitation center for advice or for them to come pick it up.

Pigeon squab. Had several that fell out of their nests when I was a kid and I raised them up. Had one that came back every year and ate with my chickens and brought her broods back with her.
