Can you please tell me if this is a Rooster or Hen??

    HI I'm just starting out with backyard Chickens as pets and for the great eggs, only thing I don't know if this is a Rooster or Chicken I'm really hoping for a Chicken [​IMG]just gave away the brother Rooster today[​IMG] , not allowed to keep them in my area . I have had this pet for 6 months now and no crowing yet. Sorry pic is sideways .

    That's a roo. Pointed hackle and saddle feathers. Also looks like he is crowing in that picture.

    So you know, a chicken can be either a hen or a rooster. Hen is a female chicken and rooster is a male chicken.

    No eggs from that boy! He probably wasn't crowing cause his bro was the dominant roo.
