I've heard that if an egg is round it's female and if it's pointy it's male... thoughts on this???
Is there a way to sex a chick in the egg?

No. That is a myth that's been doing the rounds for some time now. The sex of the chick is determined before the egg is laid and regardless of what shape or size that egg ends up as, the odds over the long run is 50/50 female or male. It would be awesome if certain shaped eggs would produce females only. It would certainly take care of the number of unwanted cockerels!
