Can you Sex this Silkie?

    Any guesses? About 6 wks old, I know it's still pretty young and very hard to tell, but does anyone want to try to guess.

    All these Silkies! The problem is, they're just about the only breed I can't sex!

    That bird is older than 6 weeks, it's probably closer to 8-10 weeks old. It looks like a cockerel. Can you get pics of the comb?

    Thanks for the thumbs up on the Age of this bird. I thought it looked older too, but I was going by what the breeder said. Lets see if these photo's will help. I've been leaning towards rooster too, but if that's the case he will have to go.

    I see traits that could be cockerel or could be pullet. Too young to say with more than 50% accuracy. [​IMG]

    Thanks for the help I will keep he/she around longer until I can tell either way. I have a little blue silkie hen that is with this one which is the same age..funny thing is my older chickens only seem to want to pick on this splash and dont fuss much with the blue...I wonder what's up with that?
