I candled my eggs, again, tonight in a darker room. On several eggs, again, I see a red ring on part of the egg, but the eggs are the only ones that really look like there is a chick moving around in there. So far, nothing smells. I cant see vascular lines on anything else. However, only 3 eggs look completely clear, which tells me that something is happening in the others. What does a blood ring look like, and what causes it? I tried a search, and nothing is coming up.

Oh gosh, I could. My 'bator went nuts and cooked my eggs.

I'm not sure if the old camera is good enough to take a pic though, my good one isn't working at the moment.

If you can see veins running here and there it's all good, if it's only a ring around the outside... not so good. Let me see if I can find some pics.

Edit: This has good pics http://animalscience.ucdavis.edu/Avian/pfs32.htm

Thank you. I felt more comfortable after breaking open the first one to see that there was nothing but an eyeball and scrambled yolk sack. So I tossed the other 2; nothing in them. And the 2 clear ones. I'll recandle the rest of the eggs tonight when its dark. I have a bad feeling that I may have 1, perhaps 2 viable eggs. This has been a bust!
