Can you tell me about my Red Goldens

    I got these back in August from an acquaintance of mine. She said they were pure Goldens, but I'm not sure where she got them from. I finally got around to taking some pictures of them today. It's just two birds, but various pictures of each one.

    They look good to me.They are not this years birds.How old are they?

    Yeah, she'd had them a while and her husband decided they needed less birds, so I got lucky!!!
    I believe the male is 2 years and the female is 3.

    Look like red golden, yellow hens are light colored

    So, ya'll think they're actual Red Goldens?
    Is there a surefire way to tell if they're purebred, not knowing where they came from?
