I know, I know, I should wait until day 7, but it's my first time incubating and I just couldn't wait any longer!

I've got 3 silkie mixes and 4 barnyard mixes in the incubator. I candled last night and all 7 have lovely spider veins! The silkies look more advanced but could be because they are lighter-shelled eggs and I can see more. I even marked the air cells so I can make sure I see progression. One of the barnyard mixes looks a little porous, but so far looks just like the other eggs' progression.

Nice to know that all 7 were fertile, so that's one hurdle down. Now I just need to be patient and let the incubator do it's work.

Without any water in the wells I'm maintaining 40-43% (I live in Hawaii and we run 80-100% all the time). The temp is staying right at 99.3 all the time. They are being turned automatically 5 degrees every 45 minutes.

The days go by so slow!!

Patience, Juli, patience.
