Candled my 11 day old Narrgansett eggs...

So this is my first time, eggs are in a little giant with a auto turner. Have fought and fought this thing to matain a temp.

I had SO LITTLE faith!!!!

I saw every egg tonight, first time I've opened it. The wife and I saw a MOVING embryo in every egg....time out of the Incubator was less then two mins for 7 eggs....

I really hope I can make this happen, lock down in 13 days!!!!!!!!!!!


So excited, it's like we are preggers again!

Day 15 candling went well, 6 of 7 were actively moving around, one was not moving at all and looked a bit dark, going to check it again in a couple days but it looks like a quitter.

Took a quitter out today down to 6 in the first incubator(11 days until hatch) and a new dozen in the new incubator.

On lockdown, removed one quitter leaving us with 5, 4 of which showed movement when candled tonight, the one that did not still looked pretty far along so we left it. Humidity up, temp down, next few days will be nerve wracking.

I'm going into day 25 here too... Got 8 that made it this far (Bourbon reds), also have 5 goose eggs and 2 chicken eggs...

Got 15 Turkeys in another incubator on day 15....
It IS nerve wracking!!

Please keep us (me) updated, this is my first hatch. I broke down and candled them about an hour ago. Looked like one was internally pipping but hard to tell, saw movement in that egg and one other not so on the other 3. Temp is 98.2 and humidity is about 74%
