Candleing questions

Yesterday was day 4 of my eggs being incubated but when I candled them I saw nothing so I candled 4 more and the same results. I was kind of hard to see though maybe I just need a new light could anyanyone help?

The link @Pork Pie Ken has given is a good one. You really can't tell much at 4 days, especially if their dark eggs. Most peeps candle at 7, 14 and 18 days.

Most flashlights now are sold with the number of lumens listed. If your light is less than 100 lumens, it may be hard to see any veins this early. 200-250 or higher lumens work great for candling.

It's a bit early to candle, Pork Pie Ken gave you a good link to check out. When you candle it's best done when it's really dark, in a closet is good. I've read alot use their phone light, LED light works great but I've used regular bulbs just make sure the battery is not weak. Have fun!

You need a very good candler and to wait until day 7 or 10. With very dark eggs, you often only see veins in the air cell
