When's the latest time too candle a chicken egg, as in the day.
And I gave my friend an egg and he said it took the egg about 6 weeks to hatch, knowing that eggs should hatch at around 21 days, is there anything wrong?[IMG] [IMG]

6 weeks? All my eggs have been 21 days, consistently. I don't know if I'd believe the 6 weeks, but perhaps stranger things have happened. Perhaps others are wiser in this area...

Personally I candle mine every 7 days, that's days 7 and 14, to sort out what develops and what not.

Quote:Thanks, because I was always afraid that if I candle and move the egg around too much on day 18 would hurt the baby chick. Also, I never see any videos or pictures of day 18 candling.
