Anyone in MA willing to let me borrow an incubator that can hold 12 or so eggs. The one I have is tiny, only holds 3-4 eggs and we are having a terrible time. I would like to buy some eggs from someone on this site, but I need a larger incubator, which would help me not only actually hatch some, but have a better chance at hatching more! I am in the Boston area and I am willing to travel. I will give you a security deposit for the duration of my use. I figured this is a long shot but it never hurts to ask!!!

Sometimes on craigslist people will sell incubator space and hatch them out for you...that way they get to keep their incubator but you get your hatches done.

I live on the west coast, so I'm no help, eh?

I just found this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQ1tyfvenqQ

    I
have heard folks make these kind of incubators all the time. Anyone have any luck with this type? Seems pretty simple to me, just no gadgets. It's not a lot better than what I have now but it is definitely a step up! I think I may go this route.....

Oh, and I forgot to say that this is really for a project for my son. He really wants to hatch his own eggs and raise his own chickens and he is working on a Cub Scout badge doing this so, I have heard of folks "renting" space in an incubator but we want to have it here and watch the process!

You can use the BYC search bar for incubators- homemade, DIY, etc. to get ideas.

There have been quite a few threads on homemade incubators.
