Cantelope OK for 4.5 weekers?

I am about to cut up a cantelope for my family & was wondering if its okay to give my 4.5 wk old chicks the leftovers? I have read about people feeding their adult hens cantelopes, but I wasn't sure about chickies...TIA

I think it would be fine, but go easy on it. Too much fruit can make them "loose" if you know what I mean.

It'll make their poops liquidy, but it's got great nutrition in it. Give them the seeds & rinds - they'll love it once they figure out it's food.

Go easy, that's a lot of sugar. I didn't feed treats until they were much older...
