Hey everybody! I'm interested in caponizing. I've been reading about it and watching videos, and it seems that the Chinese capon tools is where it's at. That being said, I've found some sets on aliexpress.com. Has anyone bought one? If so which one is the best. Also if anyone could post some good pictures of these tools in action, up close and step by step would be great. Thanks!

    Hi :welcome

Glad you could join us here! I'm afraid I can't be off help to you on the tools, it's not something I've done or researched. Hopefully some one will be along soon that can help you.

Good luck I hope you get the answers you need :frow

Hi and welcome to BYC. Like Y/Coop, i have no knowledge whatsoever on such tools. You could maybe post on the "Managing your flock" forum?

Oh the Chinese caponizing tools are the best! There was a group buy somewhere on here years ago. The rib spreader and the tweezer / clasp tool make the Chinese kit worth it. Too bad it’s not easy to find, not even online. I know that the lady that did the group buy had a connect in China.

I think you should use the search box to locate "processing threads," quite some time ago I know some chickeners were offering classes at their farms. I am too squeamish to look myself.
