    Hi Carolinians! [IMG] I am trying to put together a "Carolina Chickenstock" open to both North and South Carolina (and anyone from any other state that wants to come join in for that matter! [IMG] ). This is still in the planning stages but would like to get the word out for those who may be interested in attending. Not to conflict with the already existing Palmetto swap we have come up with a later date of August 27th and a possible ran date of Sept. 17th. I am trying to secure a location that would be in Lincolnton, NC in the western part of the state just northwest of Charlotte. It would have public restrooms, concessions and plenty of space for everyone. [IMG]

    ~Date Confirmed: August 27th 2011~

    **Location Confirmed: Ponderosa Horse Show Grounds
    1222 Ponderosa Road
    Lincolnton, NC 28092

    @Time: (thinking 9am to 1pm)

    This event would be open to ALL types of Poultry and Waterfowl (from eggs to full grown) as well as poultry related items for the birds, barn and home, crafts, homemade goods & canned goods, fresh garden foods. If you have something you want to bring but not sure just ask. [IMG]

    Trying to put together some raffles and possibly silents auctions. [IMG] (if you have something you would like to donate please pm me to let me know)

    If you have a Have/Want list and think you will be attending please include it in this thread.

    More information to come as the details are worked out. This should be a good time for all! [IMG]

    ***Please remember that if you are selling in NC you must have your Green Card(license to sell Poultry). It is FREE and only takes about a week to get it.
    http://www.ncagr.gov/vet/forms/BlankPoultryDealerApplication.pdf It is the Poultry/Ratite Dealer(no fee) that needs to be obtained by any sellers. ***

    Awesome that these are being gotten up and put together. Good job!
    Wish I could come but it is 1 1/2 hrs for me and I mostly have roosters......about 45 of them in several breeds that need to go! [IMG]

    I know this will be a great get together and don't forget the BYC banner!

    Sounds great, but a bit too far for me! I'm on the GA/SC border (west central SC).

    Quote:Sandy, it's not too far from my house but offers more space, three stall bathrooms for men and women and a full concession stand. (we just have to get a commiment on running it, maybe someone from the Cowboy Church at the grounds??)

    Depending on my work schedule I'd be interested in coming. It'd be a couple hrs for me but if enough people commit it might be worth the drive [IMG]
