Cast iron skillet safe?

personally I wouldn’t use my iron skillets because they are worth much more to me for human cooking......but i don’t see any reason that they would be harmful to birds
ohhh i think i better understand your question now......is cooking with cast iron harmful to parakeets in the house??? and answer is not to my knowledge and i have encountered no issues when my parakeets and finches were kept on the bar adjoining the kitchen in my house.

We use cast iron pans around our cockatiels and they are absolutely fine and they are a good alternative to anything with a Teflon coating.

Cast Iron is fine, nothing there to harm your birds unless you spray some Pam or something on it and burn it. Mind you if you burn stuff, the smoke from that is possibly harmful, but the castiron itself is not going to make any fumes that can hurt the birds.
