I just finished my transitional brooder and neglected to put in a door for the chicks to get outside of the brooder. I wasn't planning on needing it but have since decided on a slower transition so will need to give them outside/dirt/grass access without being bothered by my layers. Do you think a cat door for screen doors would work on 1/2" sq. welded wire? I'll need to put a small ramp for them also. Or do you have another idea? I'm a tad bit handy but have my limits of imagination!
