My Pekin hen Blue, died a few days ago of what I believe to be MG. She looked lethargic and was breathing heavily and wheezing. So we got her some antibiotics and they told us to put it in the water and syringe feed it to her in a 1ML syringe. I have syringe feed one of my hens once before so I thought i would be fine. I syringe feed her the antibiotics for a few days and saw no improvement. When one of us picked her up she would always start to gasp and breathe heavily since she got sick but this time she started to gasp heavier than usual. I gave her 2MLs which I had done before and gave it to her a little faster than usual with a bit more at a time as she wasnt taking it well. She kept shaking her head so I found it harder to do. I did not think I had givin it to her wrong though. After i fed it too her she started to gasp like normal lately but this time it was much heavier than usual. She then went to her nest. After a few minutes I went to check on her as I was worried and she was still gasping heavily. A few minutes later she came sliding down the ramp in a panic and slumped on the ground outside the coop closing her eyes. After a few second she started to flip around on the ground flapping her wings like crazy. And not long after she was gone. Does this sound like I choked her with the antibiotics? Did it go down her lungs or did she stress herself to death. Was it even MG in the first place? She didnt gurgle or cough only gasped which she always did when we picked her up lately but this time it was heaver... Thanks to anyone who can help.
