Greetings! I have my first 6 sweet little 10 day old chicks and am about to start work on their coop. I want to use some perfect cedar branches which fell in a snowstorm recently to build the roost, but I have read that cedar chips are inappropriate for chickens due to the fumes. Is this also true for things like perches? Has anyone used cedar in any part of their coop construction? The branches are just so perfect in size, shape, (cost!)... and they look so... nice. I would really like to use them, but won't if you all think it's a bad idea.
Thanks!! I love Backyard Chicken!!!! xoxo
