I went to the club site and could not find any information on this show. I am just getting back into show birds and want to see the show and buy birds. Does anyone know the details, how big is the show, hours. Do they usually have a lot for sale. It is a 3 hour drive for us so I want to make sure there is a lot to see and purchase. Anyone show there in years past?

its a good show. last yr we had about 300-400 birds in the fall show and had to limit how many people could bring to show due to space. we have a new barn they just put up next to the poultry house so hoping we can use that during the show as we normally have a tent there for the over flow. show will start at 9:00 and there will be tail gate sales. th number os birds for sale sometimes depends on the weather (do you want to be in the rain selling off your tailgate?)
if it's a nice day, we usually have a good number of sellers. there is also a swap the day prior in augusta if you plan to stay over night in the area. augusta is close to windsor.
the show will run until they finish judging so figure 2-3pm or maybe later. there is also a raffle table and a live auction as well.
if you need a show entry form, pm me your email address and I will forward you one. if you just need general info, I can give you that.

general info on the show for those that want to come, we would love to have you join us for a day of poultry fun. it is at the windsor fairgrounds in the poultry building and surrounding areas (usually the ring next to the poultry building as well. judging starts at 9:00am- runs until all are judged about 2-3pm. there will be a live auction of misc items and probably some birds/ eggs. there will also be a raffle table and a 50/50 raffle (you get 1/2 the money). there is no admission to the public to come see the show. there is a fee to set up for tail gate sales and in order to sell you must have a bird entered in the show or be a club member. should be lots of quality birds there and I'm sure there will be some for sale as well. it's a great place to meet people and talk poultry, I expect there will be lots of ducks- call duck group was huge last fall and last spring. I will update more as entries come in. closing date is this sunday, they need to be post marked by sunday. I can email you an entry form, pm me with your email address and I will get it right over to you.
you have until tomorrow to enter.

I'm busy washing and prepping my entries for this show.

It's one of the "very few" official poultry shows in Maine. The club has two shows per year - one in the Spring and one in the Fall. The Windsor Fair Fairgrounds is a great place for this event. Here are the directions to the Fairgrounds http://fiberfrolic.com/direction.shtml

There are usually plenty of folks selling birds. There's a separate area for sales/swaps. The show birds are in the poultry barn. The public is welcomed in all areas. There are food vendors, bathrooms and plenty of parking

I'll be selling bantam cochins, LF cochins and d'Uccles. I'll also haul along some hatching eggs.

here is what I am making for the raffle table- it's more done then when I took this and the ducks are now different. working on backround color today.

What a Beautiful tray that is going to be! Hoppy you do some beautiful work and it shows in the stones, and Emu eggs! Your so talented!

I'm bathing birds on Friday! It'll be an all dayer at the CHICKEN SALON!

This is a Great show to get out and meet a lot of show people and non-show people! Many of the seller's have really great stock and healthy birds.

Bring lots of money and carriers for the birds your going to buy, as a lot of show people don't carry extra boxes, as they just have enough room to carry their Show Birds.

Praying it doesn't rain!

we worked on getting entries cataloged and coop cards made today for the show. I'm tired. worked on the tray some more, looking pretty with the backround added, still not totally happy with the ducks, i will be cutting them out again. i think I have changed each duck twice already. getting down to the wire so i need to start grouting this tomorrow or I fear I won't get it done.

I have to make one Entry Change. I had entered a Black Cockerel, But he was sick and had to put him down, But want to replace him with a White Rooster, can I do that?
