I am moving from the wonderful countryside of central OK to a big city in the eastern US. :-( I have 3 chickens who need a new home before I start my drive east next month. One hen, Stormy, is a big beautiful white girl who survived the Moore, OK tornado in May. She and a cat were found after the storm in a pickup with no windows - sitting on the front seat, waiting for help. She was treated for trichamonis and scaly leg mites and is now a very talkative, healthy, lovely girl. The other hen is a very small black girl, her feathers have a beautiful gold pattern and she has a sort of mohawk hairstyle. She survived a dog attack that killed all of her flockmates, possibly by flying into a tree or hiding incredibly well. She is still nervous from it but will happily interact with people bringing treats her way. We call her Dusty. She's adorable. The banty rooster was left with us about 5 years ago when his family moved from Wichita, KS to the big city of Atlanta GA. He's definitely gamebird of some sort, has the funniest vocalizations, as well as a regular crow. I'd say he stands maybe 10 inches at the top of his head and high-flying tail. He is easy to pick up and carry around, docile in our arms, but he has the instinct to kick and seems to have an argument with my shoes. He was named Sparkle by the little girls who first owned him - perhaps that's why he kicks, what an unmanly name! We call him Sparky. He's an old man by now and is easily winded. I'd love to place the threesome together but am interested in any possibilities as the departure date is drawing close. Thank you for any interest.
