Charcoal is Broody...

Hey guys! I have an Astralorp named Charcoal who has been broody for 3 weeks, and I finally put 4 eggs under her. Will she still sit even though it's been so long? She is sitting now, all puffed up like a porcupine and clucking like mad , she seems pretty dedicated, so I have a feeling she might set, I'm just not sure she will do it for the full time. And I don't have an incubator. I might post a pic (just for fun).

She's already been sitting for weeks? I'd take the eggs away and break her now.

She can get sick. You need to break her.

I mean she’ll probably sit the whole time but since she’s already been sitting for 3 weeks… I would break her. It’s not good for her health to be sitting that long. It takes a lot of energy for hens to sit the normal 3 weeks but doubling it could be detrimental to the health of your hen. Best of luck
