Do you have a shed on your property?

Quote:I used a little portion of the shed for the coop and then cut a hole for them to come out. It's just a suggestion.

I used an old Rubbermaid shed and put in some old sawhorses for perches. We cut a window and put grating over it for airflow.
Chickens really aren't too picky about looks, thankfully!

The owner of a lull's Farms that I know has lots of chickens and a roo and she uses a bunch of rabbit hutches! You might be able to find one on craigslist.com

Quote:I've even seen someone use a EXTRA LARGE dog house and then build the coop around it. But I guess it really depends on how many chickens you are thinking of having.
There are plenty of people that have dog houses hanging around in there yards not being used at all!
