    Hi All,
    This little chick is one week old and is from a cross breed crested hen x frizzle male.
    I have never seen wings like these. It looks like a claw on each wing and the feathers are so long....???

    Has any one else had a chick like this?

    Random gene selection. They are ancestor of dinosaurs. Interesting for sure!

    Way cool. I'd be keeping that one until he matures and you can see what he looks like.

    Agree, they have dino ancestors. Emus still have a big raptor claw on their wings in the same place, maybe your chick got a stray claw gene that'd been buried deep in those parents! What ever happened to it, that's pretty awesome. Maybe you can start a clawed chicken line!
