check out this egg!

    Ok, not sure if this was the right catagory to put this in....
    One of my hens Cochin bantam) has been laying tiny eggs. as in one inch eggs....and when you crack them open, they are only a yolk inside. So, today, I found this egg....looks like a peanut. It is one and a half inches long. Has anyone seen an egg like this before? All the hens in that group get fresh greens, egg layer with a little gamebird crumble and sometimes hardboiled eggs or other "scraps". I have not cracked this egg open yet.

    LOL, I knew I didn't crack it open for a reason. Now, if I can sell my story to the highest bidder![​IMG]

    Wow! Definitely unusual. Save the egg in case she doesn't produce any more. Maybe shellac?

    I will go see if I can find a flashlight that tiny. And yeah, I should blow it out and keep it......good idea.

    Hubby wanted to know if we could train her to lay anything of value... I told him we were going on David Letterman. LOL. That is valuable enough [​IMG]
