they just randomly showed up? or are they yours?
Quote:Someone gave us 6 eggs. 4 hatched. 2 flew away. This is a 1st for us (pheasants). The guy keeps trying to give us more eggs, but right now we just aren't able to make room for them. Still trying to figure out what we are gonna do with these. DH better get busy building something!!
Yep. Or the last two will take to the skies.
The 2 darker ones were probably red goldens, the ones in your photos are yellow goldens. As soon as you can it would probably be best to seperate your pheasants from your chickens. Pheasants pick up a lot of diseases from chickens that the chickens are immune to. Also if you don't already have a covered run you will probably soon loose you remaining pheasants. Good luck, they are beautiful birds, a lot of fun to raise.
Quote:We have a tent over top of the pen for shade, but there is a small area it doesn't cover....my DF is working on something now. Didn't know they could get diseases from chickens....wow....ok thanks!
Very nice birds! I love your signature (All started with a stray mutt rooster, Rocky.................). Doesn't it always start that way?
