Could I feed my chickens cherries? I'm wondering if the pits would be a problem.

Cherries are fine. I have a wild plum tree and they eat them with no problem, pits and all.

They really liked the cherries and they LOVED the leftover oatbran cereal from breakfast. I put some on a pair of tongs and hung them in the run. They went wild!!! Looks like I'll be cooking for the chickens instead of the children [IMG].

My chickens sometimes eat the marble sized cherries off this old tree whole. They have been fine.
