I read clovers are good for chickens so i wondered are chia plants good to feed to chickens?
have anyone tried this?

I buy the Spectrum Chia seeds for our smoothies (higher antioxidant activity than blueberries) and decided to toss a few of the seeds in with the parsley plant I have growing on my kitchen windowsill to see if they would sprout and they did! I'm going to set up a separate planter and see if I can grow some chia plants for my chickens as a winter treat. Figure I can let the plants grow to the size I want and them just bring the whole planter right out to the coop. When they're done, I'll start over. Sometimes I sprinkle some of the chia seeds in with their morning oatmeal too.
