we have a hen that loves to set so we put a dozen eggs under her and we have a chic this morning, it is under the hens wing, only saw the chic feet and heard it so far. is there anything I need to do for the chic?? another thing is she is on the top row of the nesting boxes, should we transfer them to a box on the floor??

please help as i have never done this before [IMG]

Yes, I would put her and her eggs and any chicks that have hatched. Once she gets off the nest the chicks will follow and possible hurt them selves.
If you have other chickens you should seperate your hen/chicks from them. Other then that the mother knows best! enjoy your little once! make sure you give them chick starter crumbles.
