One of my two week old chicks keeps scratching at the side of his head and now has started falling over onto his back and getting stuck there. Any ideas anyone?

Get him on some vitamins in his water right away. SaveAChick is good, and Rooster Booster makes a good brand too. Pedialyte or Gatorade would work until you get the vitamin/electrolyte mix. Dip his beak as often as you can to get some fluids into him. Make sure he is in a warm area around 85-90 degrees, but not overheated. Check him for pasty butt. Could their be any mites or lice that are bothering him?

Cant see any lice or mites and he's in my kitchen incubator hatched, everybody else seems fine. Got him on vitamin sugar water and trying some scrambled egg, but he seems weaker now.

Sadly he died last night cuddled up in my lap. No obvious marks or signs of illness.
