Is this normal chickie behavior or is the little black one a bully?
Not bullying - the black chick may be cold and is trying to get under the others for warmth much as it would go under its mother.
Oh ok I put them back in the brooder right afterword, thinking she might be cold. She looks a bit younger than the other two, he said they were 1-2 weeks old.
I agree that it may have been trying to get warm. But chicks also get nervous when in a strange setting. Their instinct is to hide under momma. (or the whatever is available.)
This is completely normal behavior. Very cute babies! Love 'em!
Thank you! Ok another one, pecking at each other? I just moved them to a larger brooder, an xl dog crate, if that makes a difference.
Normal. They do need more space...or will soon.
Thank you!! Nervous chicken mama I guess
