Hi guys one of my chicks that hatched yesterday is missing a back toe. She can't balance well and is falling over regularly. Is it possible for her to learn to balance well enough to get around? Thanks

She will adjust and be fine with this deformity. However, be aware that an external genetic defect can signal a similar genetic defects on the inside that may become an issue in the weeks ahead.

For example, a poorly formed digestive system may cause a chick not to grow properly and at some point, growth overwhelms the ability of the chick's organs to handle continued cell formation and the chick may sicken and die from it.

Thanks heaps for your reply. She is starting to get move around better today and I will keep a close eye on her as she grows. 😊
