It's been 4 years since getting new chicks. Back to the excitement of hoping and worrying what breed and gender we ended up with. 😆
This little one is about 1 week old. Very curious and active, but doesn't look anything like what I anticipated. I went in (TS) for a blue laced red Wyandotte and came home with.... BR or?

Please give me your best guess. Thanks!

Blue Australorp? Production Blue? It's a little young to tell much.
Do production blues have barring at that age? My barred rock had more obvious barring at that age, maybe cuckoo maran?
This might be a better picture. Thanks for looking!
Trying to decide if I should go get another Wyandotte, so my silver laced is not "alone".

Just wanted to post an updated picture from today. This little one is still tiny and fairly slow to feather out. The other Wyandotte chick is double the size and has lots more feathers. I think it is at least a week older, though the guy at TSC told me it was a few days old when purchased on 8/27. Lol

Mystery chick at 3 weeks old today. If anyone has any new ideas, please let me know. Thanks!

I’m not sure on breed, but I feel like my Wyandottes are feathering out super fast. Our other four chicks (WJG and Rangers) looked similar feathering wise at 3 weeks
