Chick Feed

This is probably already on here somewhere.

Can I give NEW DAY OLD CHICKS gamebird feed?

Specifically, Manna Pro 30%?

I have it because of the quail I started to keep( No patience in waiting for chicken eggs)

Pros/Cons?

Can I raise em on it?

All feed stores closed today, at least locally. Besides driving 40+ minutes to TSC.

I would think this feed was superior, but what do I know?

You can, I fed strictly gamebird feed for years. But, I stopped when some of my older birds started sporting dirty, poopy bottoms. I figured it could have been from all the extra protein, either way, it cleared up when I switch to a lower protein feed. I was actually feeding sporting bird crumbs, if I remember correctly, it was 24% protein. Either way, it wont hurt them to feed it at least until you can get to the store. If it were me, I'd save that gamebird for the quail. One thing I do remember for sure about that sporting bird feed is that it was MUCH more expensive than the all flock I feed now.

Yeh
It's $22 a 50lb. here
I was just hoping 30% wouldn't "hurt" them.
Hoping it would give them a boost, when they need it most.
I don't care the cost, I don't have 300 chickens to feed,
yet.
