Chick free-for-all!!

Yikes! I hatched out 10 D'uccles and 1 Columbian Wyandotte today. They went into their brooder about half hour ago. I gave them food, sugar water, dipped their little beaks in the water and I've been sitting here listening to their peeps.

All the sudden it sounded like pandemonium in there. So I peek inside, (its in my living room) and they're beating each other up! Beaking each other, knocking each other down, grabbing toes and running with them. Looks like a dang free-for-all!

So I reach in and kinda "break it up", things settle down for a few minutes and then I hear something that sounds like screams. I peek in again and they're at it again. Its not like any one chick is being picked on, its everyone beating on EVERYONE!! LOL

I cannot have 11 brooders! Straighten up chickees or its chickee soup for all of you!!
