Hi is it possible to tell what ones are roosters please I got them from ideal last week I did the string and needle test on all of them so far this is what I came up with

The string and needle thing is a crazy old wives tale. It does NOT work. You'll have to wait but I think I see a Buff or Red Cochin in there, maybe a Silkie.

What does work is to wait and see on all except the Barred Rocks. The one with the huge head spot that wraps around the back of the neck is a cockerel. Barred varieties can usually be sexed by several traits, one of which is the head spot. Dark wash on the leg fronts that goes all the way down usually means pullet as well, but nothing is 100% accurate and mostly, the sexing rules of Barred varieties work more with hatchery stock. Good heritage and breeder stock is a bit harder to sex.

Throw out the needle and string except for sewing.

Thank you but a little harsh I like old wise tales some times there is a little truth to them.

Not meaning to be harsh, just realistic. If you flip a quarter, you'll have a 50/50 chance of getting the sex right, too. I mean, it has to be either male or female.

I know it's all good I just trying to fine homes for the roosters I want them to live out there lives happy and alive. But I know that's not realistic
