Chick Grit Question

My chicks are about 7 wks. old. When can I offer chick grit as a "free choice"??

If your chicks are cooped you can do it now. If they are running out or will be, they should pick enough up while scraching around, but you could give them some.

I would absolutely give them grit now. They need it to digest anything they eat that isn't chick starter. Like eggseronius said, if they are ranging anywhere on dirt, they're likely picking up grit that way. But it doesn't hurt to give them some tiny pebbles in addition.
