so we are hatching some fertilized eggs with a broody laying hen. one of them just hatched (6/8/17) and I want to separate the hen chick and remaining 6 eggs. can I put them with some food and water in a bin with shavings in it. is this ok and also will she take care of the babies after they hatch. the hen is a golden laced wyonnetts, and the eggs are mixed breeds. thanks so much for any help!!! :)

I would wait until they all hatch before moving her. Sometimes moving a nest doesn't work out and she abandons the eggs.
