We got 4 chicks yesterday, and today my 12 yr old noticed an air bubble/blister where the wing meets the body. It doesn't seem to be causing any pain or bothering the chick in anyway, but is quite alarming. It is a Wellsummer chick and is a couple weeks old. Thanks in advance for any advice!

It is possible that the chick has been working on it's self while grooming and it got irritated enough to swell. Just keep an eye on it in that if it breaks open you might want to put some Liquid Wound Care on it. Even some neosporin would work if it becomes an open sore. Good luck!

I have 6 Cornish-Rock pullets and have noticed a tumor/blister on each one over their right wing. What happened in this case? Does anyone else have some insight?
