Chick hatched.. Mom pecking the heck out of it!!

I have two hens sitting on the same eggs. We placed 6 under them. I checked today and I thought I heard something so I tried to left one of them up. I saw one chick and they started to both peck the heck out of it.
I am trying to leave them alone, but wondering if I should remove the hatched chick before they peck it to death.

I'd move the chick..and keep it warm under a heat lamp..

Then what... should I try to put it back under them later?

I dont know...maybe you could try it later..(very carefully)
but i wouldnt trust those moms right now...

but before you move the chick..make sure shes really pecking it to hurt it...know what i mean? maybe shes stopped now?

Can't you move one of the hens? Somethere she can't get back on the nest.

Well the TWO hens have been together on the nest the entire time. So I am not going to move one of the hens. I am going to leave the chick and let nature take its course.
I hope they were trying to get the chick under then again.

No!! The two are doing great. I am so glad I let nature play out. There are two more chicks and one more looking like it's pecking through.
