This Blue laced Red Wyandotte hatched early this morning and her eyes are still not open. One side is partway but the other is completely shut. Any suggestions? I have some Vetropolycin eye ointment the vet gave me when a hen was pecked in the eye. Might that help or would it hurt?

I'd try warm compresses before applying any medicine.

Quote:Thank you! I crack myself up a lot, but usually no one else! You can never have too many lawn chairs with male goats!
I just finished a hatch of 7 light Brahmas, 3 BBRed OEG, I Mille Fleur D'uccle, 2 Blue Laced Red Wyandottes and 4 Salmon Faverolles. I had pre-sold the OEG's and Brahmas. The others are mine, all mine! [IMG]
