Yesterday I purchased 5 chicks that are about 5 days old and it appears one was injured in transport. It can't stand up... legs were splayed so I put a vetrap hobble on as suggested for spraddle leg. And it seemed to help a little at first... once I helped her balance she did stand on her own briefly and takes some steps around last night. But no such luck today... it seems more than splayed legs. Her head is usually down... if I try to lift her front end up a bit then her toes come off the ground. Mostly she's pretty heads down. I did get her to eat a little scrambled egg today and dropped her some probio electrolyte water, but am not sure what else to do. Has anyone else had a similar issue?
